No Limits
In a typical relationship with Vallie•Richards•Donovan, there is No Limit to our service. For example, we don't limit the number of phone calls, you are not charged for the phone calls (some consultants bill this back to you), and no limit to the number of music calls, etc.
On The Menu
The following are typical services, a minimum of what you can expect as a Vallie•Richards•Donovan client:
- Initial Market Assessment Trip This includes a market monitor and analysis of key competitors. We meet with the appropriate management team at the conclusion of the trip and follow up with a detailed written trip summary report.
- Let's Get Started Initial set-up of music computer scheduling system if needed (i.e.song input, coding, scheduling parameters, etc), along with continual review of the system throughout the year.
- Quarterly Market Visits After the initial trip, these visits monitor your station and competitors, address any issues that arise, and ensure the strategic plan is being followed.
- Consistent Follow Up Every trip is followed by a thorough written summary of recommendations and a station action plan.
- Regular Reviews Written reports of station and talent reviews (based on unscoped airchecks) are regularly sent from the market to our offices. You will receive a complete review of each personality's performance, along with a review of the stations music flow, production elements, etc.
- Music Monitoring Weekly music calls at a set time each week to discuss current rotations of music and station's music selection.
- And More Reviews Quarterly review of the entire music library; recurrents, oldies, etc.
- Research Assistance Help in developing research study questionnaires-from the initial call that discusses questions and concerns that need to be probed to being at the presentation meetings to help design strategy when study findings are delivered.
- Marketing Strategy We assist you in helping to develop the marketing campaign designed to address your specific needs as it relates to the strategic plan of the station(s).
- Call Me Open phone communication whenever station strategy needs to be discussed.

Preference Plus
This service is offered exclusively through Vallie•Richards•Donovan Consulting and is available at a discounted fee for Vallie•Richards•Donovan clients. Preference Plus is designed to help managers and programmers understand their all-important loyalists (P1's) better. The indepth presentation uses easy-to-read color charts and graphs and provides actionable analyses that stations use to improve ratings. Preference Plus also shows stations how they can develop future P1's with similar detailed analyses about secondary listeners.
The P1 audience is the driving force behind a station's ratings.
On average, 72% of a station's quarter hours come from the P1 audience,
which is 36% of a station's cume.
Preference Plus, a Vallie•Richards•Donovan Consulting exclusive, helps
